Merseyside Quiz Leagues

Details of the 2018 Feeny Cup (for the top teams in each League's top division) and the Rendon Cup (for the top teams in each League's other divisions) are now posted under Competitions or by clicking on the link.  First round matches were played at various venues on Wed 11 April.

Congratulations to Jim Eccleson (Wirral), John Hall (Warrington), Mark Kerr (Liverpool) and current holder, Karl Whelan (Wirral) on reaching the Final of this year's Mimir Individual Competition.  Many thanks to the Warrington Quiz League for hosting the event.

The Final will be played at the Presentation Evening on Wed 16 May 2018 at Unison Club, Bishop Rd, St Helen's WA10 6SX

The next MQL Council meeting will take place at Old Swan Conservative Club, Derby Lane, Liverpool L13 6QE at 8pm on Sunday 18 March 2018.

With victories over Liverpool and Ormskirk, well done to Warrington on their win in the annual President's Challenge.  This is the second part of a fine 'double' as the team also secured the main President's Shield competition a few weeks ago.  

In congratulating the team, MQL President Angela Houghton also mentioned runners-up Ormskirk and their welcome return to both competitions this season.

The winners will receive their trophies at the MQL Presentation Evening on 16 May at the Unison Club in Ormskirk.

Most heats were played on 7/8 February 2018.  However one area will not hold their Final until 20 March, so we would ask again for competitors not to post or discuss any of the questions until after that date.

The venue for the Mimir Merseyside heats on 21 March is now St Joseph's Parish Centre, Meeting Lane, Penketh, WA5 2BB.  The draw has been made and can be found under Competitions and Mimir.
